1. Your photo is never stored

This is the rule that governs everything else, and it's an architecture decision, not a marketing promise. When you photograph your moment, the photo is scaled down, transmitted encrypted (HTTPS) to our analysis function, analyzed in memory, then forgotten. It is never written to our servers: our infrastructure has no photo storage at all. The original never leaves your iPhone, and your journal of moments lives on your device.

2. No account required

Mysik works entirely without an account. Signing in (Sign in with Apple) is optional and comes late; if you do sign in, we keep an account identifier to manage your quotas and your subscription.

3. The data we process

• Product interactions (screens viewed, journeys): measured through TelemetryDeck, a European service, anonymized by double hashing. This data is not linked to your identity and is only used to improve the app.
• Crash data: collected through Sentry (hosted in the European Union), limited to crashes, to fix bugs.
• Purchase history: the state of your subscription, managed by Apple. We never have access to your payment methods.
• Email address: only if you give it, optionally, to receive news from Mysik (such as the Monday mixtape by email). One-tap unsubscribe in every message, and never any sharing with third parties.
• Musical taste: your library and listening habits are read on your device, with your explicit permission. Only aggregated artist names accompany the analysis request — never your raw listening history.

4. What our servers remember

A directory of music tracks and their listening links — the same for everyone, tied to no one. It's a technical cache, not a profile.

5. No ad tracking

Mysik contains no advertising SDK, shares no identifier with third parties and does no cross-app tracking. Your data is neither sold nor rented.

6. The mysik.app website

The website uses no third-party cookies and no ad trackers: no consent banner is needed.

7. Retention periods

• Photo: never kept (see §1).
• Email: until you unsubscribe.
• Account identifier and subscription state: as long as your account exists.
• Usage metrics and crashes: in anonymous form, for as long as the analysis requires.
• Your journal of moments: on your iPhone, under your control — deleting it is deleting it.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability over the data that concerns you. Write to us at support@mysik.app — we reply within 30 days at most. You can also file a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr).
